I was tired of cleaning after taking the tray out of the dry box.

Every time I needed to refresh the silica gel, it violently jumped outside, so I made a lid it!

The lid

The original tray was filling the bottom of the dry box pretty nicely, so I just wanted to keep the silica inside in one place.

I've added grabbing points on the sides to make it easier to separate the two models apart.

The lid is held in place by the friction on the grabbing points of the tray so both the tray and the lid must be printed pretty precisely to make a good fit.

My recommended settings: 0.15mm layer height in Quality setting on 0.4 nozzle.

Material doesn't matter, I used PLA here.

The tray

I liked the new grab points introduced by Scott in his version of the tray so I left them in place just made a little longer. I cut it flat 😊 as it was no longer necessary.

If you like the original version more, just print the lid; sizing is the same, both will fit.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I liked the grab points from the @Scott C. version but I removed the extra “catch” for silica as it was always in frictrion with one of the axis. Silica is still kept in place because of the new lid so it works well with the LACK enclosure.

I made the grab points just 2mm longer, to make them easier to grab with the lid on.
