Who doesn't love a Bug-A-Salt fly killer? I love mine and I love the looks I get when I bring it out and eliminate those pesky flies and other bugs.
Just for fun, I made this snap-on version of a rifle scope to make my Bug-A-Salt even more fun! It definitely gets the looks and laughs when I break it out. It does not have any optics in it so don't expect it to work like a real scope. It will however let you zero in on those pesky bugs that can be so annoying.
I have included the .gcode file should you want to use it, but you can also experiment with your own orientation and support settings should you want.
Here are the settings that I used:
I used PLA+ for the extra strength it offers. There is no reason why whatever filament you happen to be using wouldn't work, but the choice is up to you. Use caution when installing your scope on your Bug-A-Salt. You have to flex the mount enough to get the pins to line up with the sockets on the side of your Bug-A-Salt. You can easily remove your scope by flexing the mount and pulling up on the scope.
I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know if you like it and show me your builds! Thanks!
