This is the collection of printable parts and config files for the Easythreed K9 upgrade as seen in the video below. I'm not sure if this is something that I'd recommend, but if you're looking for a challenge, I'm not going to stop you.
Shell Insert
Stiffening inserts that live inside the original linear units. X and Y use the standard insert, while Z uses the Shell Insert Idler as the motor location is swapped. These require an M3 insert on the end. Attach with suitable M3 and self-tapping screws.
Motor Mount
Allow mounting a standard Nema14 motors for XYZ. Same as above, XY use the standard version, Z uses the Reverse version that attached into the Shell Insert's M3 threads. I used some long boi Nema14 motors, but any Nema14 motor should work.
Drill Guide
For drilling the ends of the original profiles with clearance holes for the M3 screws.
Carriage
Identical for all three axes, is compatible with the original, unmodded printers as well as a machine with all mods attached. Requires 4 pressed in IGUS or other bushings with compatible dimensions. I used GSM-0608-10.
Base Extender
Props up the printer to make space for new electronics and the Y axis' much too long Nema14 motor. Drill and screw into Y-axis, making sure to align it square, and reuse the original screw holes in the printer base.
Belt splitter
As the motors are now further away from the idlers, longer belts are required. The splitter cuts a normal 6mm belt in half, using a standard 18mm snap blade. Clamp in a bench vise.
Parts as uploaded are not all oriented for optimal printing. Most require support material.
