A variant on the Spin Compass, again a parametric, print-in-place design realized using OpenSCAD. I approached the design in a different manner, describing the piece as a whole and then dividing it into two objects by subtracting the race for the latch pivot rather than creating each component separately. The provided design is pretty lightweight and probably only suitable for light duty. On the other hand it only takes a little over half an hour to print at 0.2mm on a Mini+, so it makes for a quick fix for that annoying cupboard door at the back the shed. In my project I used size 8 countersunk head Tek screws to secure these latches and they seem to be holding up well so far.

Update

Simple tweak to allow the generation of either a half button turn latch (pivot at the end of the latch arm, typically mounted at the top of a single door) or a button turn latch (pivot in the center of the latch arm, typically mounted between two adjacent doors, although this variant is also useful if the latch cannot be positioned at the above the door). If generating a new variant use the “lk” parameter to select either "button" or “half_button”.
