The tolerances are slightly tight. The tolerances on my printer allow it to be easily slid into place but it can be slightly difficult to remove if pulling at an angle. You can use command strips or screws with these shelves in order to hold them up. Not every place that has room for a command strip or screw needs to necessarily be used when having multiple shelves that are connected.
