I bought a hand tool woodworking book called \"Woodworking Joinery by Hand\" and it detailed a number of very simple magnetic jigs to help sawing wood and keep the saw at the correct angle.

This is a 45 degree version of the crosscut jig from that book. It can be used to make frames and anything where you want a mitre joint.

To use it, you need to glue a magnetic sheet to the completely flat side for the saw to run against and then it's ready for use.

you can clamp it to the piece of wood to stop it moving while in use and it has a stop which butts up against the wood (as in the photo) so that the saw cut is at a right angle to the side of the wood.

To print it, I rotated it in my slicer so that the flat side (that you attach the magnet to) was down.

When I work out how to rotate the model, I'll update the stl here.
