I designed 3 mounting options of my magazine holder for the Umarex Gauntlet. These mag holders mount to standard picatinny rails. They are two part prints that are held together to the rail by a standard M4 bolt. The hole for the bolt is undersized, so it self taps when being inserted. The mag is held in by friction and has a tab that sits in the center bolt hole in the magazine. I have uploaded both .STL and .3MF files for all 3 options. There will be a “base” and a “top” for each option. I recommend using the 3MF files, since they remember the placement of each item as I designed them, so they don't import into the slicer all stacked on top of each other.

Option 1 (White): This is the first version I designed and is mounted to the picatinny rail with the magazine perpendicular to the rifle. This option isn't very popular, as it sticks out from the rifle the furthest.

Option 2 (Orange): This version is designed so the magazine is mounted parallel to the rifle. Please note that this version takes more force to insert/remove the mag, since the tab is supported by the picatinny rail on the inside.

Option 3 (Green): This design can be mounted in either orientation; Perpendicular or parallel to the rifle. Please note that if mounted parallel with the rifle, it will require more force to insert/remove the mag, since the tab is supported by the picatinny rail on the inside.

*Just download the Cal/File type you want, and then delete/remove the options that you don't want to print.(

Print Settings:

  • No support material needed
  • 15% gyroid infill is what I used and had good results
  • .4mm nozzle
  • .2mm layer height
  • Printing orientation should be correct when downloaded.
  • Material Used: PLA+, though I'm sure standard PLA would print just fine as well.
  • Print time will vary, but my standard settings say it's just under an hour.

Hardware Needed:

  • I used one of the M4 bolts that came with the picatinny rail set. They are just under 10mm long and just under 4mm in diameter in the shaft.

I hope you enjoy the design/print! God bless!
