PDF

Minimalist phone stand for your desk. Print using vase mode in just 30 minutes and 20 grams of material. Compatible with larger phones and cases. Avoids obstructing bottom-center of screen for gestures. Phone not included.

Print settings

  • material: PLA
  • layer height: 0.35mm (PrusaSlicer: FAST preset)
  • spiral vase: on
  • external perimeter extrusion width: 1.0mm (PrusaSlicer: Print Settings -> Advanced)

Tips

  • Model should be printed in the default orientation (on its side).
  • Increase extrusion width to increase rigidity. In my testing, 0.6mm is a bit flimsy, 0.8mm is acceptable, and 1.0mm is good. My printer/nozzle can go up to 1.2mm, but I saw minor print quality issues at that setting.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • Minimized obstruction of the bottom-center of the phone's screen by adding a notch to the front of the stand. This makes it easier to complete common gestures in this area such as Android's home gesture.
  • Improved solidity of top surface in spiral vase mode by adjusting slope.
