NOTE: This is scaled to fit Chessex sized dice. If you need a larger/smaller one, please send me a message, as I cannot figure out how to upload SCAD files to this site.

Use 6mm x 3mm (OD x thickness) magnets for the closure. Secure them with CA glue. My method for this is:

  1. Put glue in one of the magnet holes on the bottom half of the box. Insert a magnet in that hole. Use a paper towel to press it into place and remove excess glue.
  2. Repeat step 1 for the other 3 holes in the bottom half of the box.
  3. Wait at least eight hours, ideally 24, before proceeding!
  4. Now let four more magnets attach themselves to the four you put in the bottom of the box.
  5. Use a Sharpie to mark the tops of each of these magnets.
  6. Wait at least 30 minutes for the Sharpie to dry.
  7. Put glue in a magnet hole on the top half of the box. Remove a Sharpied magnet from the bottom half of the box. Place it so that you cannot see the Sharpied side, then slide it into the glue-containing hole. Wipe away excess glue with a paper towel.
  8. Repeat step 7 for the other 3 holes in the top half of the box.
  9. Wait at least eight hours, ideally 24, before proceeding!
  10. Test the fitment and closure. You are done!
