I have several IEM ear tip sets, and I was tired of them being stored in separate boxes or just loose. I was also not a fan of the clear plastic divided cases. These work great to separate out different brands or materials, but they are really space-inefficient for ear tips.

So, I designed my own. It took a few revisions, but I got the posts sized to accommodate almost any ear tip. They press over each post and are still easy to grab out of the case. This makes tip-rolling a breeze!

Magnets hold the case together securely and are satisfying to play with. I made several sizes so you could pick which you like.

Parts Needed:

  • Any Printing Plastic (I used ABS-GF, but PLA also worked great)
  • 2 - M2x25 Bolts
  • 4 - 10mmx3mm Magnets

Assembly Instructions

  1. Setup the print by dropping the desired file in your slicer and making 2 copies.
  2. DO NOT MIRROR; the hinge is designed to be the same on both sides.
  3. Print with 100% infill if you want the case to have some heft.
  4. Position the two printed halves with the hinges together
  5. Feed a M2x25 bolt into each hinge from the outside and tighten it down (the innermost hinge hole is slightly smaller, and the bolt should screw into the plastic there).
  6. Test the hinge and loosen or tighten the bolts as needed.
  7. Then press fit the magnets into the holes, and you should be done!
