These are some trays we've been using for Wyrmspan. They have the following features:
- Stackable (with snap fit) for storage.
- Sized to fit within the original box alongside the player mats.
- Can store up to 4 personal trays in the box, stacked.
- Can store up to 3 of any other combination of trays, stacked.
- Can keep items inside the trays for storage.
- Personal tray stores meeple, guild token, and player markers inside.
- double tray stores each resource: milk, meat, gold, amethyst.
- single tray for extra coins and eggs.
- Sloped walls for easy access to items.
The player tray is designed to keep your stuff organized while you're playing. There's a spot to put your player markers and resources and it can fit up to 12 weighted coins (not that you can keep more than 9!).
The more generic bin trays come in single and double. We use the single trays to store the coins and eggs. We use the double trays to hold each of the resources (milk, meat, gold, amethyst). Each “set” (2 single + 2 double) is great for a pair of folks on one side of the table to share.
For a 4-player setup, you'd generally want to print:
- 4 single trays (for eggs and coins)
- 4 double trays (for milk, meat, gold, and amethyst)
- 4 personal trays
Printing
- No supports should be necessary.
- I've printed at 0.20mm layer on a 0.4mm nozzle and up to 0.32mm layer on a 0.6mm nozzle, so those should work. The only thing that might be affected by this is the tolerance for the snap fit bumps. They're pretty small.
