2020 Subaru Outback Phone Holder

This is a phone holder for the 2020 Outback that fits over the cubby hole which contains the USB sockets.  It may fit any Gen 6 (2020 -  2024) Outback, but has only been tested on the 2020 model.

The cubby seems to have been intended for phone storage, considering their optional wireless charger that fits into it. However, I find it impractical for two reasons. First, the charging cable of a plugged in phone juts out and can be accidentally grabbed when operating the shift lever. Second, you risk stressing the USB port when reaching into the cubby when there is a cable plugged in.

My solution was to create a phone holder that fits over the cubby hole.

The phone holder does partially cover the parking brake switch, but it is still easy to reach behind to activate and deactivate the parking brake.

The holder will fit a phone that is 165mm tall including its case.
