This model requires 6mm Carbon Fiber Tubing to hold the camera away from the rocket. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EVN0BVU/ref=oh\_aui\_search\_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You may need to use a drill (manually) to clean out the tubing mounts on the camera holder and nose cone. You can make the offset anything you like, mine is 8" (but you need to cut 9" of tubing to accommodate the insertion into the parts. I use CA glue for bonding these components.
The reason for mounting the camera sideways was because the stitching of this camera is very poor so putting that on the horizon offered a better result (that I masked with a black bar)
You'll notice a small vented compartment on the base of the nosecone. This was to accommodate a Perfect Flite Firefly so I could record the altitude. I would just power it up, pop it in and tape over the opening to enclose it. http://www.perfectflite.com/Firefly.html
This nose cone is designed to fit any Aerotech 2.6" rocket tubing. If you need a different diameter - PM me. The rocket you see here is an Aerotech Warthog.
