I planned to force circulate air in my small server rack (15 U - http://www.getfort.com/en/products/3/197). I used pipes (used widely in recuperation system) and created custom system with two separate air stream (in and out). This help me cooling my rack without need to install standard air conditioning.
This bring me to designing my own connector between rack and plastic pipes, that can turn out to help somebody. The idea assumes that whole "rack" with its equipment will be additionally hide in standard full-size wardrobe in corridor.
Because I was restricted to max printing size, full model was slice apart to 2 individual pieces (every piece takes about 2 days and couple hours to print). It have a lot of support materials but I don't find any way to simplify this model and achieve the same exterior surface as above without this - it was hobby project.
I recommend print with 70% speed - this can extend estimated time significantly but gave you confidence that print don't mess up after a few hours.
Bolts places should fit exactly to what we can find on the top cover.
If you want achieved solid connection you can glue them and for convenient use zip tie to combine them together where pipe in.
As for now I present only connector for "air out" because second one is in progress. I updating this post when I end up.
Feel free to use and mix this project to tailored to your needs. All was created using free online tool - Tinkecad.
Notice! This design is purposed to green pipes (spacing between circles fit perfectly). If you install gray pipes it can make difference (in my case it was).
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
