Spearfishing Speargun or Belt Reel for Freediving or Scuba

Spearfishing Speargun Reel

The original model was super vague on assembly instructions and the mount didn’t fit my gun. You can’t resize it because then it wouldn’t mount to the rest of the reel. My mount uses just two zip ties and mounts to any round style speargun. I’ve included mounts for a 25mm and 32mm diameter guns (my two JBLs) but I have included the fusion 360 files and can upload a different size if you need one. 

Material:

I printed mine in PETG, but anything that isn't PLA, TPU, or ABS should work as this will be exposed to lots of saltwater and sun.
 

Print Settings:

.2mm layer height

4 perimeters

5 top and bottom layers

25% cubic infill

Dive reel hardware:

1x M5x50 bolt + heat insert

1x M3x35 bolt or screw + nut

Assembly: 

1. Install the M5 threaded insert into the appropriate reel mount
2. Install the M5x50 bolt into the tensioner
3. Insert the Handle Center into the Handle skinny side first
4. Attach to the Reel Outer with the M3x35 bolt or screw using a nut on the back
5. Glue the Center Winder into the Reel Outer with the notches facing inward
6. Stack the rest of the pieces per the picture and secure to the reel base with the Tensioner (I'm not sure the washer is 100% necessary, but your mileage may vary)
7. Insert your mono or dynema line through the loop on the Line Holder and tie around it
8. Wind your line up (make sure you're winding in the tighten direction)
9. Install the Line Guide and fee the end of your line through
10. Insert zip ties through the slots in the Reel Mount and use them to attach the reel to the gun
11. Attach your reel line to your shooting/spear line
12. Happy Spearing!

I made a better mount that adapts to different sizes of guns since it didn’t fit mine. Also including hardware list.
