Design is heavily based on this model by @HuMa_1372637, so props to them!

Remade their model from scratch to give a little reinforcement to the print as it looked a little weak to me.

Install at the bottom of your coffee grounds container to limit the buildup of mold and make it easier to wash.

I printed mine in ELEGOO's black PLA and it has worked fine so far, little bit of warping after 20 or so cups but it is still perfectly fine.

I recommend handwashing it by just rinsing it off under the tap.

This is a two part model where both files will be imported and sliced differently, but printed as one part, if you haven't done this before then you can see a short guide for how to do this in Orca below:

How to print:

  1. This is a two part model:
    1. the structural frame.
    2. and the part that will be used as the mesh pattern.

Import both models into your slicer (i use orca) and ensure that they are lined up at same place on your bed as shown in the image below:
  2. Change your slicer process from Global to Objects:
  3. Select the part used for the mesh, and lower the top and bottom layers to 0 for that part, aswell as lowering the wall loops to 0
  4. Now increase the infill density to around 45% using the grid pattern, and slice. It should now look like this: (if you have another nozzle size than 0.4 then you might need to use other infill densities, use whatever looks like a good mesh)
  5. Now print :)

Slightly scaling the model down might lead to a better fit for you as it might be a bit too snug
