A nice authentic-looking barrel you can print at home and store your stuff in.

The fun part is that you can print the barrel body with one color filament and the rings in another, then snap the rings into place to make it look awesome!

Everything is oriented properly, and no supports are needed!

I have printed mine with PLA, 0.2 mm layers, and the rings are relatively easy to snap on and off. The lid stays in place as well, should you need it.

Original size weighs around 25g.

The original model is 6 cm tall and 5 cm wide, but it's scalable. The rings are a bit harder to snap in place when scaled up, but manageable. Taking them off is a pain, but why would you want to? :-)

In one of the pictures you can see half of a 200% scale barrel printed in white with the lid and the rings on, because I didn't have enough brown coloured filament, and didn't want to print a whole from white just to test if the rings fit.

If you don't want the hassle with the rings and are satisfied with a single color, use barrel_body_fused_rings.stl

If you want the separate rings, print the barrel_body_separated_rings.stl, two each of small_ring_2x.stl and large_ring_2x.stl, then snap on the rings. Easy-peasy.

The lid should fit both designs the same, and be relatively easy to open and close, but not fall out on its own.

Contact me if you have any questions, feedback or suggestions!

(I also have a design where you have to put the staves together manually, but that is really hard to achieve. Give me a shout if you are interested!)
