I searched for a quick-release filament gripper/clipper that would meet my needs, but I could not find one I liked, so I created a versatile three-way clip. I did not like how an unused filament held on the spool guide of my MK4, as it required excessive bending. So, I wanted a simple gripper to keep the filament in place without using the small hole on the guide. To grab and ungrab the filament, simply push the button.
This is a three-way clip:
There is an SF (Support Free) version.
I used PETG, but PLA should also work. You may need to slightly adjust the scale on Slicer for the best gripping performance.
I tested and tuned based on PETG clip with Prusa PETG filament.
There are some older versions in the archive folder. They are not three-way designs but use the same design concept.
If you need adjustments or feedback, please let me know.
