This is a set of Gridfinity Pico remote stands with embedded magnets in the bottom to help align and hold them in place in the grid.  This is positioned at an angle such that you can have something taller behind (or in front) of the remote and it will not interfere.

This uses 6x3 magnets, as opposed to the standard 6x2 magnets in Gridfinity in order to provide more pulling force so the stand does not tip when pushing the upper button on the Pico remote.

I print these with 8% gyroid infill with a 0.4 nozzle.  Layer height is set to 0.2 until the upper protrusion, where I found 0.15 was better for the slot that holds the remote in place.  I found a larger nozzle does not work well.  The provided 3mf files already have these settings set, as well as where to pause the print to insert the embedded magnets!

Additional sizes available upon request, and you can adjust the Z-height in the parametric Fusion 360 file that is also available.

Changelog

v2024.06.02
  • Fix issue where locking nub was too high, causing the remote to exist outside of the gridfinity cell it is meant to only exist in.
  • Remove extra material that is not needed to save on print time and material.
  • Model Pico remote a bit better to allow for a slightly more shallow angle (accounted for chamfers)
  • Added a 4-wide version
v2024.05.28
  • Initial Release
