Picture Frame Badge - customize your own !

Add a personalized touch to any picture or document frame. The oval badge attaches to the frame of your picture. Two lines are available to customize your message using a selection of Google fonts.

The 3 part assembly features a badge, a clamp and a pin. The frame clamp retains an 8-32 nut. There are 4 files to choose from, having different gaps for your frame: 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 1 in and 1-1/4 in. The pin tack holds the badge and the clamp together. The pin tack is a modification of whpthomas' design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:130879 The badge is a 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" oval using Google's Courgette font.

The text can be centered using spaces, but there is also a nudging feature to get the letters just the right place.

Notes:

0.2 mm resolution / 14% infill for the badge.
0.3 mm resolution is good enough for the pin and clamp with 15-20% infill

How I Designed This

I used OpenScad for the design of the three parts. whpthomas' pin library comes in that format and makes modifications easy. The pintack has been modified by chopping down the base for fit. OpenScad makes it easy to create different width gaps in the clamp.

I experimented with Google fonts on this project.
