Robocop Helmet Stand

This is a custom stand that I created to display my Robocop helmet.  The helmet is the DO3D version, although this should work for any helmet design to be honest.  You will need a length of PP or PVC plumbing pipe which is sold as 32mm pipe, but has a 35mm outer diameter (that bit is important).

There are two bases, one with the OCP logo which is raised 2mm above the surface, and one which is blank for you do with as you please.  In my pictures, I covered the top of the blank base in masking tape, then used my laser to cut out an OCP stencil which I then sprayed.

The top piece is printed flat, then using a heat gun or hairdryer, gently warm the plastic so you can bend it into shape to meet the internal contours of your helmet.  I then added some stick on EVA foam feet to give it grip.  The helmet simply rests on top.
