I wanted a tiny sanding block to keep in my tool belt for carpentry work. This is not designed for lots of sanding work, simply to quickly tidy up a cut edge on a cladding sheet or similar application prior to installation. For instance, cutting fibre cement cladding sheets leaves an edge that requires one or two passes with sandpaper.

Simply cut a strip of sandpaper to roughly 150mm long and 25-30mm thick. Easily achieved with a standard 30cm ruler as a straight edge. The dimensions were designed around a roll of sandpaper from my local hardware store that measures 115mm wide. This allows me to get 4 refills from a single 150mm piece.

Parts:

1 x M3 * 20-25mm screw

2 x M3 nut
