This is a very old design. Please look at my other moderators for a current design
This moderator is for air gun use only! Do not attempt to mount it to any other type of gun!

This moderator has a diameter of 30mm and is 137mm long. It is designed to fit a Diana Bandit or Stormrider air gun. The Diana Stormrider/Bandit has a large gap behind the threads for the moderator and is using an M10x1 thread. Due to this the moderator may not fit onto other air guns. The inside bore of the 5.5mm parts is 7mm and 6mm for the 4.5mm version.
Alternative design which will fit most air guns https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/89196-air-gun-air-rifle-silencer-moderator-suppressor-12
Compared to the moderator that comes with the gun. This one is a bit quieter and changes the tone of the shot. It is also lighter so the entire gun becomes easier to hold. I don't use the supplied moderator anymore.
The entire design is 3D printed but you need to add some sort of sound dampening material to the chambers. I am still experimenting with different materials but so far micro fiber cloth looks very promising (the pink cloth in the picture).
I have tested this moderator with over 3000 shots in 5.5mm and it has been working without any issues. I also unscrew it regularly and the printed threads are still holding up fine.
Update
Added high polygon count of main body for a round look. The example images are printed with the non HIGH POLY version. Pay close attention to the inside parts and end cap as there are versions for 4.5mm and 5.5mm pellets!
I recommend the following print settings
print with 100% infill to ensure the wall are solid / air tight
print the main tube with a brim to help it stick to the bed The main body tube and the cone has a 1 layer thick inside brim to help it stick to the plate while printing. This must be removed before you can use the moderator.
Print the following parts for assembly
2x Chamber 41mm Part A
1x Moderator Tube M10x1 Chamber Part B needs to be glued onto Chamber Part A. Loosely wrap a soft cloth around the Chamber parts. You may also wrap one or two turns of Teflon tape around each part to close any air gap between the chambers and the main body. The Teflon tape is optional.
Assemble the moderator in the following order for best results.
41mm Chamber, 25mm Chamber, 41mm Chamber, End Cap
Cone only version. This one is similar to the original Bandit Silencer.
10x Cone 10.6mm
1x Moderator Tube M10x1 Please let me know if you make your own baffles/inside parts for this moderator and I'll add links to your designs.
