There must be hundreds of these so called "poop buckets" for Bambu Labs P1 and X1 3D printers. Yet, I couldn't find one that was just right. Not too big, simple magnet attachment, won't block chute, and looks good.
I like this size, about 80 mm by 80 mm by 140 mm: it'll probably hold 100s of filament purges and it takes a second to dump out. I didn't want some giant bucket snaking around the printer, and I didn't want to spend 5+ hours printing it. The walls are 1.6mm thick for faster printing and less material but still good strength (not like this thing undergoes any major force). I added fillets inside to strengthen where the bottom attaches to the sides and for the inner corners of the bucket. For extra safety, I added a back stop swooping up, since sometimes those purged filament bundles come out pretty quickly.
A really nice feature is that I used one of the two magnetic strips Bambu included with the printer to build a scraper. I hang my scraper on the metalic back of my PIS, so I only needed one magnet for it. This bucket was a great use for the leftover magnet I already had!
It took 2.5 hours to print with a 0.4 mm nozzle at "0.2 mm Standard" default settings. I used Matte Black PLA to match the P1.
