Creality K1 / K1C Unibody Riser Frame

I love the design of the Creality K1 printers. The unibody frame with the beveled edges and corners is just awesome. There are already a lot of risers for this printer out there, but this one extends the original frame of the K1 / K1C. When painted in the same color as the frame your printer will look like taller version of the K1/K1C.

This frame still fits the original cover but I'm planning to replace it with a glass plate. I never really liked the looks of the original cover.

Initially I got a lot of positive reactions on this riser. And I really enjoy seeing the makes posted here. It is amazing to realize that it is used all over the world. After the initial release I continued to improve the model. I made parts fit just a little bit better together, make them stronger and make it look better on the inside as well. I made an optional part with hinges for the original lid.

Updates 2024-10-20:

• Parts do not need to be glued anymore. You can now just slide the parts together. For a strong connection you can use threaded inserts to screw the parts securely together.
• The design has changed. The lid now rests deeper within the frame which makes it look a lot nicer.
• 100% compatiblible with the plates for the previous version.
• It is now possible to add LED strips as well.
