Parametric target shooting cards template

Create your own target shooting cards with this template if you run out of cards! The OpenSCAD file allows you to create one or five targets, all with a single parametric CAD file.

Or, just print the STL downloads and trace for creating your custom target shooting practice cards.

You can modify the OpenSCAD file to customize your template, note to install "Chamfers-for-OpenSCAD" to use the CAD file in the libraries folder and the font “ttf\marbella_army\Marbella Army.otf” in the libraries/ttf folder. Note the font is for personal use and cannot be distributed, Google the font to find the download.

The original implementation creates cards for a 140 x 140 mm pellet  catching system.

All versions have been printed and tested, the all work well. And for those who look at the shooting results, my sight needs to be adjusted, there is a consistent offset to the lower left.

Updates

Version 4

  • Option added to create 5-target shooting cards, note that the more complex the target card gets, the longer it needs to render in OpenSCAD
  • Warning added to not use the “show_numbers” parameter, the numbers are generally too small to trace

Version 3

  • Create a positive or a negative template
  • Restructured the OpenSCAD file
  • Possibility to render a half template with limited stiffeners

Version 2

  • Make the template stiffer by including a stiffener around the square
  • Included an offset for the pen/pencil when tracing the template (the black template in the photos); this is to ensure the traced circles all have the same width
  • Included chamfering to allow for better printing and better, more clear/sharp tracing

Version 1

  • Original simple template
