Hello everyone! This is a 3D printable magazine design for the Lanard Shell Shock X-6. I’ve always loved this blaster for its look, its function, and for the surprising amount of color combinations this blaster has been released in (any of which I am interested in purchasing if you are interested in selling by the way).  But, this blaster’s shells and magazines are exclusively compatible with this blaster, which normally makes replacing parts such as these quite difficult. Fortunately, Lanard actually released a refill pack for this blaster that contained an extra magazine, sixteen shells, and sixteen darts. Not only that, but despite this blaster no longer being available for purchase anywhere I could find, it appears that the refill pack for this blaster actually is still available, time of writing, from Blasterparts.com. Despite this, I’ve always thought it would be fun to be able to print my own shells and magazines for this blaster. Also, I knew that once I had the geometry for the magazine, I could have some fun creating higher capacity magazines! So I decided to finally do this project, and here are the results!

My goals for this project were to make the magazine and shells as easy to print as possible, as well as make the magazine as easy to assemble as possible. The shells can be printed without any support, and are compatible with both the stock magazines and darts. The magazine for this blaster is a bit more mechanical than most other toy blaster magazines, but I did my best to simplify it as much as possible. The magazine is compatible with the stock shells and darts, and consists of five printed parts, with the necessary hardware being a drum spring, a pen spring, three 2-56 5/32” long screws, and two 2-56 9/32” long screws. Links to the hardware will be down below.

Hardware List:

The hardware is the same for both the 6 shell magazine and the 12 shell magazine. For each magazine size I have included a version of the body that has easy to remove built in supports that should allow that part of the magazine to be printed without the need for additional support material. But, in case you would rather generate your own support using your own settings you know work well for your printer, I have included a version of each body that does not include any built in support.

These models are not exact copies of the Shell Shock magazine, but hopefully they are a close enough imitation for those who are interested. I had a lot of fun working on these parts, and I hope everyone else enjoys them as much as I have!
