It's a 3D-printed bearded iris flower… and also it holds pens.
I've been tossing this idea back and forth for a while: outer petals (sepals) that start on the print bed and connect with the flower midway, for both print efficiency and stability for the pen stand so it doesn't over-balance; and the ruffles in the upper petals double as space for the pens to rest in.
It holds 3-4 pens or pencils comfortably, depending on their size. (It can probably also hold things of similar size and shape. I would caution against anything that requires cleaning, although maybe if you opened up the bottom 🤔)
