For this project you must have:

  • x4 8x3 mm magnet
  • x4 8x1 mm magnet
  • a strong glue
  • a plexiglass panel, 2.5 mm thick, the size of the compartment
  • 3mm screw (optional)

Steps:

  1. Print:
    - 4 magnet supports
    - choose which internal support to use, the one with the screw hole or the one without
    - choose how many knobs to use, I used 2, if necessary use the hexagonal cover

  2. Cut the plexiglass panel to the size of the compartment, finish the edges so as not to cut yourself

  3. Drill 1cm holes at a distance of 1.5cm from the sides, first use a smaller rope to create a pre-hole and then the 1cm bit, proceed with caution, don't go fast, and put some water on the hole, for dissipation:

  4. Insert the 8x3 mm magnets into the internal supports and the 8x1 mm magnets into the supports for the magnets, use glue if necessary

  5. Insert the knob or the hexagonal cover into the holes made in the plexiglass and attach the magnet support with glue

  6. Attach the internal supports at a distance of approximately 7mm from the edge of the shelf
