Nexus Pro X Slim Barrel Grip

This barrel grip replaces the stock orange muzzle and will allow for extended barrels to be installed in your Nexus Pro X.

Cosmetically, I wanted this barrel mount to be less “chunky” that the stock muzzle or other “collet” style barrel mounts. This slim grip has no visible barrel gripping hardware and does not use set screws that can scratch your barrel. Instead, there is one screw through the front of the mount that will wedge a ramp into the side of the barrel, locking it in place without damage (see pictures).

HARDWARE

• Qty. 1 - M3 x 20mm pan or button head machine screw
• Qty. 1 - M3 x 4mmL x 5mmOD heat set insert

INSTALLATION

1. Press heat set insert into the bottom of the “Ramp” part
2. Insert the “Ramp” into the open cavity of the main body
3. Insert 20mm L M3 screw through the main body and thread into the heat set insert
4. Remove the 4 screws securing the stock muzzle and replace with the assembled barrel grip
5. Insert a 5/8" or 16mm barrel (stock barrel will work) all the way through until it is seated in the dart chamber (if too tight, loosen the M3 screw)
6. Tighten the M3 screw the pull the ramp up and wedge the barrel in place

PRINT SETTINGS

No specific print settings are needed. Models can print with no support. The “Ramp” is a pretty small part, so you may need to use thinner layer lines (nothing crazy, model has been validated with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.5mm layer lines)
