Prusa MK3S Overhead Storage Shelf

I styled clips similar to those used for the MMU2S unit, and built an overhead storage for 5 spools.

All parts here were printed in PLA. I would recommend PLA+ now that I am more familiar with that material. I have several orientations of the model shown in the pictures for showing how it should be assembled.

It is designed for various length and sized ¼-20" screws. I used theses screws "VIGRUE 228Pcs 1/4-20 Flat Head Socket Cap Screws Assortment, 1/4 20 Stainless Steel Countersunk Bolts Nuts Kit, 3/8" to 1-1/2", Full UNC Thread" and these screws “binifiMux 50pcs 1/4-20 Inch Round Head Phillips Machine Screws Assortment Kit, 304 Stainless Steel Silver Tone, 1/4 x 3/4,1,1-1/8,1-5/8,2 Inch” from Amazon to assemble it.

I have used this for over a year now and can say it will definitely hold 5, 1kg spools. Using  several 2kg spools does push the strength of the design. If using 2kg spools use less spools on top, max of 3 placed more centrally. It didn't break when I tried 5 of the 2kg, but it bowed a tiny bit which worried me.

Does not disrupt use of mmu2s unit, nor the light attachment that I also designed.

It takes about a week and a half to two weeks to fully print everything out. I personally love it, but keep that in mind if you take it on. I printed everything at 0.3mm layer thickness with 45% support cubic infill, using supports when necessary.

P.S. If there is any obstruction between the z-axis full-range motion and the clips let me know ASAP. It was an old problem I fixed, and while I believe I uploaded the new version of the clips, I may have accidentally grabbed them from an older prototype.
