Cover for PowerSupplyCable of RV Car (Repair, Replacement)

Cover broke, I redesigned and printed it. Even better because cable break-trough is available now.

My neighbour asked my for a replacement of the broken cover of his RV.

I designed (TinkerCad) a new cover:

  • Base plate (PETG) for flexibility.
  • Separate retainers for optimization and tensioning purpose. Printed lying (ASA) on the bed, for strength purposes, therefore, I decided for screws.
  • A possible remake could be: dowels and holes instead of screws, then welded together (e.g. with soldering iron).
  • The cutout for the cable provides a nice cover from humidity during charing. When driving, just insert the TPU plug (counterpiece, dovetail design), which is securely held when the cover is closed. And an addidional flexible band prevents you from loosing the plug during charging.

Printed on: Prusa MK3S+ for TPU, Prusa MK4 for ASA, Bambu A1 for PETG.
