Have you ever asked for the stir bar retriever, and where handed a cute little puppy that definitely shouldn't be dunked into a potentially unsafe solution?

Never again!

This good boy will help you out with
those pesky little magnet sticks!

Hexagonal perfection, standard pencil size, and
infused with the cuteness a real retriever deserves.

The first stir bar retriever on printables!

Printing:

Filament: Please choose a filament according to the final use of your stir bar retriever, i.e., don't stick an ABS stir bar retriever in acetone, don't heat your PLA stir bar retriever above 60 °C (140 F / 333,15 K), etc.

Walls:
  • probably no less than 0,8mm
Infill:
  • as little or as much as you want
Orientation:
  • The all-in-one files are pre orientated.
  • The separated files should be rather straight-forward, except the head.
I found it easiest to print it nose up at 45°; there's a nice flat bottom there.
Magnet:
  • Add magnets into the magnet cap

Stick it all together, add super glue or similar if you desire.

That's it, you are now the proud owner of a retriever.

Last but not least, thank you to @camscornershop for their lovely golden retriever model

this is based on. I know you marked it as public domain, but credit where credit is due.

Yes, you could technically also print the retriever without

the retriever, but who would want that?

Please leave a comment if you desire any changes, different magnet sizes or

just want to share your puppy bliss.
