Wide Stance Legs V2 | YouTube

Here's the K1 and K1 Max's Wide Stance Legs V2. They have a much wider clamping area on the frame, no longer puny and better looking I think

There are two versions of these legs. 1 screw directly into the bottom frame where the original feet sit and the clamp version requires a heat insert to screw into (only use these if you have ruined the threads or if you do prefer the clamping version, you'll need to drill out the threads). These legs do not interfere with 270° hinges or my side braces.

There are 4 fitment test prints for both K1 and K1 max. Please use these before you end up wasting a ton of filament

IMPORTANT:

  • These legs clamp directly onto the bottom frame
  • You will not be able to use the bottom panel
  • You will need to relocate the MB cooling fan (check out Henlor's Fan mod)
  • You might be able to use the factory hardware for the feet. I don't remember the screw lengths

BOM:

  • x4 - M3x4x5mm Heat Inserts (feet)
    • x8 - If using the clamping version (feet & frame)
  • x4 - M3x10mm Screws (feet)
  • x4 - M3 Washers (feet)
  • x4 - M3x40mm Screws (frame)

PRINT SETTINGS (minimum):

  • 4 walls
  • 4 top/bottom
  • 45% Infill
  • Grid, Cubic
  • PLA is fine (stronger, stiffer, outside of printer, no heat)
  • Must be printed on its side. Its not for looks, its for strength - pictured
  • No supports needed
