What is the best way to show the power of 3D printing than to quickly make a useful object only achievable with a 3D printer ? (you will need to pause the print to insert  magnets)

Why you should print these ?

  • A wide open shoe is much easier to slip into than a shoe with laces.
  • No laces to do.
  • Fast and easy print, no supports, no glue and no assembly.
  • Remove shoes hands free.

Bill of materials for one shoe:

  • Shoe
  • 8 x 10*10*4mm  or 4 x 20*10*4mm neodyme magnets, they are easy to find (link where I bought them), if you really struggle to find them you can buy them on aliexpress

Print instructions :

  • 100% infill
  • no supports
  • Prusa PETG for durability
  • pause the print just before overhang and insert 4 magnets

How to pause print on prusa slicer at specific layer height :

“To do this in PrusaSlicer, first navigate to the “Plater” tab. Then, select the preview view and drag the layer slider on the right to the desired layer. Finally, click the plus icon and select “Add pause print (M601)”. Voila! Your printer will magically pause at the specified layer and wait for confirmation before continuing.”

Tips :

  • Use sand paper for functional surfaces.
  • Install on your shoes like on photos.

Happy printing :) show me your makes !!
