Givi Tanklock COMPATIBLE tank mount (Kawasaki)

I got a GIVI tank bag from a pal for a couple of quid, problem was he'd thrown out the flange (suppose that didn't matter as it wouldn't of fit my bike anyway!) and unfortunately the plastic GIVI tank mount I think original part (ZT480F-2R) so I had no way of attaching the bag to the bike.

Of the ZT480F-2R on his other bike that I have briefly seen and felt its made of glass reinforced Nylon and comes with a metal flange for a secure connection to the tank, this design wont come anywhere near the quality of the original, but it seems good enough for my 5 Ltr tank bag, as with all things on a motorcycle please assess the risk to yourself if it goes wrong and fires into your face at 70mph! 

I printed using CF-Nylon and although its a bit more flexible than I'd like, and therefore a little bit more fiddly to click into place it seems to do the job well, I can shake the bike about with the bag, my initial prototype was in PETG and that also worked fine but I replaced it for piece of mind, as mentioned I didn't bother with the flange and just used longer m3 bolts, so please check the sizing unless you want to strip the threads on your tank! 

Let me know if there are any problems or design improvements and I can probably fix them. ta!

I traced Fredlepps design as it didn't seem to fit, the “cutout” which stops the bag from spinning wasn't quite wide enough. In summary here are my changes 

 

• Opened tanklock opening to 60 degrees (it now fits my bags mount)
• Didn't bother with the cut and kept a full circle for rigidity 
• Lowered the profile, my bag already had plenty clearance and looked a bit silly sitting so tall
• Added tank cap bolt standoffs (this is actually a bad idea, it would of been easier to print them separate as tubes/washers and saved a large amount of support material) 
• Added some Jizzi branding so it cant be confused with GIVI
