[June 15, 2024] I just added 2 more sizes, medium (M) and large (L), so now you have choices! Please still keep in mind NOT to put the seam at the dovetail - follow the printing tips below.

I developed and tested the STRONG and EVEN STRONGER key ring designs, rounding out with the STRONG Round Split Key Ring, check them out! Then I started thinking about the irony of "keeping things together, separately”, which gave birth to this Figure #8 Double Split Key Ring.

Key Features:

  1. STRONG like the others  [now comes in 3 sizes]
  2. Super easy to print like my other designs.
  3. Independent attachment of items to each ring to keep them together, yet separated.
  4. Attach to your backpack for multiple and versatile uses.
  5. Link them together like a chain!
  6. Just cool to look at and play with!
  7. You can mix-n-match with my BX Loops collection in any combination to suit your needs.

Printing Tips:

  1. Use 2-3 vertical walls - up to 4 walls if you really want the strength!
  2. Make sure your extrusion multiplier is calibrated.  If it over-extrudes, don't be surprised if the inner and outer rings weld together!
  3. Use PETG/ABS/ASA. Test-printed with Polymaker ASA Orange - works really well.
  4. PLA not recommended.
  5. Keep the seams away from the dovetail features - to avoid welding in that area.  I suggest you put it here:

NOTE: Yes, it only needs one seam in this location for the entire part!
