Small model and test pieces went great, on the large for some reason one side looks too low. I would assume bed leveling but it’s printed on a mini with abl, so??? Confusion. Model is still great though

@Caff_163420 I love how the pieces move after it breaks in a bit. Bummer about the big one. Maybe adjust your offset or try to get your printer's Z-axis a little more square? If you look at my collections, you can see the z-axis brace I use on mine.

do you have any plans for a model with more 'droop'? It would also theoretically make tolerances a bit more forgiving, so would make an easier print

@Caff_163420 I hadn’t given it much thought, but it does droop pretty significantly after some time and breaking in. I have been thinking about trying different shapes too.

So the light make it seem more brown but it's actually black with some green/blue glitters, the name is not really telling the full story tho I agree :D https://www.dasfilament.de/filament-spulen/pla-1-75-mm/405/pla-filament-1-75-mm-blue-pearl?c=11

@Kunzite That looks awesome! I'm adding this to my list of filaments to try!

First layer really has to be perfect. Very satisfying and fun to 'crack'

Printed on MK3S with ProtoPasta recycled HTPLA.

It is quite satisfying! First layer is always key.

Printed default setting on Prusa Slicer 4 with the Prusa Mini, the sections did not separate, so i will have to mess with it and try again.

The parts are .2mm apart so it's a bit of a tolerance test. Gotta tune it for the various filaments. The yellow and blue were easy for me to print. The white silky took a lot of convincing. I don't have much experience with silky PLA.

GeekToybox yeah i plan to toy around with the slicing settings and try to get it work, I love the design.

Can u expand what this does? i don't get it

Put stuff in it. Mine is next to my bed. The pieces are linked and it drops making it more like a dish or shallow bowl. (edited)

ah ok thanks - yes understood as much just wanted to see if there is anything i am missing

I saw your prototyping on reddit, very creative. Can't wait to try this.

Awesome! I can't wait to see makes! I'm irritated. r/FunctionalPrints deleted my post immediately after I posted it just now. LOL
