It had to be done! The free version of Tessa the T-Rex isn't perfect, but I'm here to fix it. I sat down and made some improvements. I fixed the tongue and the jaw hinge, and I also fixed the legs. There were a lot of little details that separate an okay model from a perfect one, and I'm happy to say that I corrected them. Here is the final version. If you find any problems with this model, please let me know and I'll be happy to fix them and make it even better. This means that it can be updated in the future if someone finds more things to improve.
I also brought it to scale 1:100, which means it will fit all the future versions of FlexiDinos I create!
Edit, 3. 12. 2024: I included Tessas siblings Bosco, Crazy Dave and Scarlett in here, too. They are remixes of the original old Tessa model which is currently the free version and are not as optimized for printing. Especially the tongue will make troubles. You have been warned.
Redesigned the jaw hinge after the current standard vertical hinge I developed and perfected while designing the last models
Redesigned the legs and tongue for improved printability
Redesigned the neck for aesthetic reasons
brought to the 1:100 scale which will be standard from now on
all of the above and
Reduced to 50% size
Removed the jaw hinge for improved printability
all of the above and
Added a ring to the tail where you can insert a key ring
Important Note: I'll add a detailed description on how to print and assemble this below!
all of the above and
Modified mouth to allow insertion of earlobe
Added cavity to stop the print (with a pause command at the correct height in the slicer) and insert earring findings with a 10 mm diameter plate
like the final version and
Reduced to 70% size
Added holes in the feet to insert cable ties (the ones left over from your Prusa should fit) for attachment to strollers or bikes
Heres a step by step guide of how to slice your model for insertion of 10 mm plate earring findings in PrusaSlicer
Please note that your printer will pause on a certain height and you're required to insert this part called an earring finding with a 10 mm diameter plate. You will need to acquire it before you start the print! I bought mine from a local store as amazon only delivers batches of 100 or more.
Acquire some earring findings with 10 mm plates (smaller diameters might also work but I didn't test it. If you do so please let me know if and how it worked and I'll update it here)
Load the .stl or .3mf of “FLEXI T-REX 50% ohrring v10” into PrusaSlicer
Click the “Slice now” button in the lower right corner
!!! GETTING THE PAUSE LAYER RIGHT IS VERY IMPORTANT, you might damage your printer if you don't do this properly !!!
On the layer height scale on the right side of your preview window pull the upper handle down to the first layer covering the cavity to insert the finding like in this screenshot.
Right click the “+” symbol on the right side of the vertical bar
Choose “Add pause print (M601)” from the drop down menu

A message will appear, hit “OK”

A small pause sign will appear where the plus was

You can start the print now. The printer will pause on the correct layer and you can insert the finding. After you do so resume print. The result should look somewhat like this.
Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a T-Rex chewing your ear off.
I can't stress this enough, so I'm going to write it down here: FlexiDinos are in no way suitable for small children. Parts can break off and leave sharp edges, so make sure your children are old enough to know what they're doing before letting them play with FlexiDinos!
