I had this idea for a credit card size phone stand that I could pop in my wallet, that I could carry around for whenever I want to watch something. I also wanted to practice using Fusion 360. It's 4mm thick - about 5 cards thick.
I made this to be print in place (using 0.4mm nozzle + extrusion width), but also have individual parts so it can be printed separately if any part breaks.

It has tabs on the frames to hold pieces in place so they don't swing freely when not in use.

It handles my OnePlus 9 Pro in it's case in Landscape orientation, but portrait is a little wobbly so be careful there. If you have a really thick case, it probably won't fit the stand.

It prints in less than an hour @60mm/s for all perimeters, 40-45 for solid layers, and ~20-30 for bridges.

"Phone Stand - print in place.3mf" is the full assembled model with all parts, ready to print in place.

If you want to print the parts separately, you need to print 1 of each of the other files. They should already be in the best orientation for printing. Note: the files “Outer - front flap” and “Inner” have been flipped upside down for the best way to print them individually, but will need flipping when you assemble the printed pieces. Refer to the complete model for an idea of how they go together.

Recommended print settings:

  • 0.24 - 0.28mm layer height
  • 0.24mm initial layer
  • 3 perimeters
  • 3 or 4 top layers, 2 or 3 bottom
  • 15% infill
  • detect bridging perimeters
  • no supports
