I love puzzles like this one.  However, the M3 threaded inserts I have on hand are a little too big for the original design.  I also only have hex nuts on hand, so I added a knob that takes a hex nut as well.

The knob and pin X/Y dimensions were scaled to 110%, but their M3 bolt related holes were left at their original size, so M3 nuts and bolts still fit snugly.

Print the plates from the original post scaled to 110% in the X/Y plane.  Leave the Z dimension at 100%.

I included the OpenSCAD file for anyone who needs to scale the parts differently.  Note that the OpenSCAD file has no comments and is just hacked together.  To change the scale, simply change the following line:

ScaleValue = 1.1;

to whatever X/Y scale value is needed.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Scaled knob.stl and pinInsert.stl to 110%.  Also added a knob that takes a hex nut in place of the square nut.  You will need to print the plates at 110% in the X/Y plane.  Leave the the Z axis at 100%.
