Nest Protect v2 Mount Ring

I noticed the non-battery powered nest protect v2 can only be placed on the “power-box” in the ceiling.

Since I could print one, I searched for a suitable 3D printed mount. But sadly didn’t find anything to my liking. Most of them are to high and bulky.

So I designed my own. Goal was a sturdy but mostly hidden mount.

You can use 4 screws, 2 should be enough.

I printed two, mounted both with the two outer holes. Works like a charm!

Print in ABS, 5% infill, 3 perimeters, 5 top layers, 3 bottom

Using slic3er? Disable 'ensure vertical shell thickness'. Not needed for this print, faster print en less stress on your bearings.
