🔥 Inspired by ATLA, a wearable prop that is easy to print! 🎎🏮

I am a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and many years ago I published the simple crown from the animated series. Since the recent Netflix live action show, I decided to update and upgrade it, so I added more pieces and a version resembling the flame crown seen in the live action show.

This publication includes:

  • flame crown - from the animated series, a simple five pronged one resembling the Fire Nation insignia
  • flame crown - from the Netflix live action show, a more ornate, curved flames piece
  • bun holder - it fits either of the flame crowns in a vertical slot, and a cylindrical thin object can be passed through horizontally. a bun or hair top knot can be passed through the main opening
  • chopstick cap - a small ornamentation that can be put at the end of a cylindrical thin object, like a chopstick , pencil, etc.

Check out my other ATLA coasters here!

Print Settings

All pieces are easy to print , no supports.

0.2mm layers or less for smooth quality finish

Gold filament recommended, or spray paint after.

no need to print the stick, you can use a pencil, chopstick, etc.

Scale all parts to fit the stick and the head of the user, make sure a bun can fit through.

Instructions

  1. To wear it, simply gather hair from the top into a bun and pass it through the main bun holder opening. If you have lots of long hair, maybe it's easier to make a bun with just some of your top hair, not all of it, leave the lower strands loose.
  2. Then, pass the stick though horizontally , it should “pierce” the hair and stay in place.
  3. Finally, insert the flame crown in the vertical slot. Alternatively, you can hold the crown flame with a hair tie or elastic hair band.

About (from ATLA Wiki)

The Fire Lord headpiece is an ancient royal artifact of the Fire Nation, meant to be worn by the Fire Lord, the absolute ruler of the nation. The headpiece is shaped like the Fire Nation insignia, except it possesses two additional prongs to make it appear like a crown. It is worn in a top-knot.

The headpiece resembles the Crown of Baekje, worn by kings of the Baekje Kingdom in southwest Korea (source).
