I designed this set only as a proof of concept. I love geometric designs and simple minimalistic shapes.

Minimalistic geometric chess pieces could be described as a fusion of simplicity and elegance. Each piece is stripped down to its essential geometric forms, emphasizing clean lines and shapes over intricate detailing.

The king, queen, bishops, knights, rooks, and pawns are all represented by distinct geometric shapes that reflect their traditional roles on the chessboard. For instance, the king has a simple pentagon on the top, symbolizing stability and strength, while the queen is a sleek, elongated cylinder, evoking grace and versatility.

The bishops,  represented by a sphere with an angular cavity, suggest their diagonal movement across the board, while the knights are depicted as cylinders with an angular extrusion, capturing their distinctive L-shaped jumps. Rooks, cylinders with rectangular blocks and more small cylinders on top, signifying their steadfastness and ability to control open files.

Pawns, being the most numerous and humble pieces, are represented by small triangles, the most basic form in geometry, reflecting their basic yet crucial role in the game.

Overall, these minimalist geometric chess pieces would not only serve their functional purpose on the board but also stand as works of pop art, appealing to both chess enthusiasts and design aficionados alike.

The design needs minimal to no support, the only exceptions is the knights and possibly the rooks.
