This handle is intended to be used in campers or caravans, in order to keep the doors shut while moving. The handle latches to a lock plate and can be opened by pushing the push knob. If you want to modify it to your needs, you'll find the .step for download too.
The measures are taken from an old Kip brand caravan, because i needed an repacement part. If you are lucky, this handle might work for you as a direct replacement too without the need for having new holes in the door boards.
Printing:
Print all parts in their given orientation. This is especially important for the LockLatch and LockPusher part in order to ensure smooth movement. Enable support for these parts. I highly recommend it being printed out of PETG or ABS. PLA might get soft in the hot summer sun.
Assembly:
Assemble all parts like shown on the picture below. Put some few drops of oil, grease or some other lube, like petrol jelly, on the moving surfaces. If you are not sure about the parts positions, refer to the .3mf and see how the parts are intended to be assembled.
Note:
You can adjust the hardness of the spring by printing it in different hights. The material used has a big impact on how the spring behaves also.
Mounting:
Use the DrillTemplate in order to have all holes nicely aligned and also to find the right spot for the HookPlate. The HookPlate does work if printed, but i highly recommend to use one made out of a little piece of aluminium profile.
Note:
If you have the original handle, you might also use the version which is intended to be used with the coil spring.
