A 240 piece 3D puzzle of our planet based on real elevation data of land and sea floor (exaggerated and compressed for artistic effect).
A lot of fun to put together and a stunning piece of decor on your desk.
Diameter: 200 mm (8 inch)
Print time: ~80h (Bambulab X1C, 3 colors)
Models: pre-arranged on 4 standard sized build plates (195x195mm)
(You can use the Reconfigurator web script to re-arrange the pieces for different build plates and requirements)
Each piece prints with it's number on the back in case you need to look up what goes where.
Enjoy!
This piece was printed on a Bambu Lab X1C with eSun PLA+ in Blue, Peak Green and White.
Using the 0.16mm Optimal print profile as a basis with just a few changes:
Most of these adjustments are not too important and just optimize for speed.
In order to successfully print this model your printer needs to be tuned to produce accurate dimensions and retract reliably without too much oozing.
Before you decide to get the full model I recommend to download the four test pieces, print them out and test the fit. Use them to tune your settings until the pieces interlock with a nice friction fit. X-Y contour compensation can help adjust for too loose or too tight fit.
The test pieces can be found here: Calibration Pieces
