Description

Jig “balsoříz” for cutting balsa wood stripes. Can be used for cutting foamboard and other materials.

I'm using standard #11 exacto blade, other blade types might be used as well.

Print and assembly instructions

Print with PLA. For recommended settings and print orientation, see 3mf file.

Required hardware:
  • 1x cutting blade (exacto #11)
  • 2x M3x8mm bolts
  • 2x 3mm washers
  • 1x M4 14-20mm roundhead bolt for the knob
  • 1x M4 hex nut for the knob
  • 1x 4mm washer for the knob
  • 1x M4 square nut for the body (hex nut might fit with a little sanding)

Knob has intentionally 0.2mm layer over hole to ease printing. Simply cut it out or drill it before assembly.

When assembling, square nut hole in the body should be opposite to the blade.
