Semi-hydro base insert for 24cm IKEA FNITTRIG.
Fill pipe hole is for 20mm OD PVC pipe (seems to be commonly available in Singapore, probably a standard metric pipe size?).
Water level indicator hole is for this water level indicator from Amazon; I had to trim 70mm off the pipe and indicator to get a perfect height for the pot.
Sized for a 250mm x 210mm (x, y) bed - specifically the Prusa i3 MK3S that I have. Print Settings: Skirt and brim: Loops (minimum): must be set to 0, in order for the print toolpath fit in build plate.
Print upside down relative to STL file as-is (disc side down). For heavier plants/future-proofing, use 100% infill; probably a good idea not to have air gaps too to discourage water retention and bacterial growth.
In order to fit into a 210mm bed constraint, the round edges are slightly cut off, so finer media (fine gravel, sand, mixed soils) may slip through the gap, but ≥8mm LECA balls should be perfect and not spill into the reservoir.
Update 2021-05-29: Increase wick hole thickness to 2mm for rigidity. Changed water level indicator hole to 16.20mm to fit linked product. Changed UPVC fill pipe hole to 20mm to match commonly available 20mm OD electrical UPVC conduit in Singapore.
Updatee 2021-06-09: Uploaded 2 versions - 69mm depth (original) and 64mm depth. I found my local IKEA to have different manufacturing tolerances and I needed a 64mm depth version, as the 69mm depth version had too large of a gap.
