This tag will allow you to look up plant information without having to google or guess on what your plants need.  I get tired of the tags that come with the plants getting blown away or just deteriorating in the elements.  They also don't have all the information I need to fully care for all the plants such as when to prune and how it grows.

Print Settings:

  • Material - PETG or something UV resistant
  • Infill - 15-25%
  • Layer Height - 0.20mm
  • No Supports (duh)

I would not scale it down too much as (in my experience) the code is unreadable any smaller. Go crazy with scaling up.

Should be able to fit 4-5 on the MK4 bed.

How to Edit (Using Prusaslicer)

  • Then “Generate 3D Model” at the bottom.
  • After it is generated click the “Save as STL” at the top of the page.
  • After downloading my file Template Tag.3mf open Prusaslicer right click on the on “Combined-17..434055.stl” or "Text - Cat's Pajamas" on the right hand side of the screen
  • For the QR code, right click and then select “Replace with STL” and select the QR code that you previously generated.
    • This part can be a little wonky and sometimes it'll replace correctly, others it won't.
    • If it doesn't replace correctly, move it into the right place on the left side of the tag and set the size to 40mm, 40mm, 3 or 4mm (a few layers above the label) for X,Y, and Z sizes.
  • For the Text, right click the Text object and simply edit the text however you'd like.  You can add text as well for the planted date if you don't want to write it.
  • Slice your file and print with a layer change so that the text and code are more visible.
