I had a bunch of these standard arcade buttons that I wanted to super size and the original design was almost perfect! After a few iterations I came up with this. I wish I could spend more time cleaning it up and maybe perfecting it for each type of board I was using so the bottom had a mount and the usb port was assessable from the outside but the event I made these for came and went and I just had to hurry up and get it done. I used a USB hub to connect 6 of them for a voting game that is linked below. If you think of a better name let me know and I might rename it and get a proper domain. Also happy to customize this site to make it more useful for a more general use case. I'll probably get back into it again at the beginning of next year for the same annual event and print a new set of box designs! And I'll post those too!

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I made the main box bigger (so that an arduino board would easily fit even with the button mechanism in the way) and carved out a slot for the buttons I have to fit well. You can see them in the picture! I also had to shorten the legs on the button so they would not bottom out and I added a few holes so you could secure the button with some m3 screws and secure the top and bottom with a few more m3 screws.
